In Chrome the compass wheel of pan control is 100% of body when embedded in iframe

Using Chrome browser, the compass wheel added to the pan control is stretched to 100% of the div when embedded in iframe (the compass wheel is added to pan control in Streetview canvas and in map canvas when 45° aerial images are displayed).

Problem is present with Chrome v.15.0.874.106 on Windows 7 SP1 64bit and  Windows XP SP3 32bit.

 

Problem is NOT present with IE9, FF, Safari.

 

Any suggestion?

There's nothing the Maps API can do about it because it appears to be a Chrome bug, to be fixed in the next release: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64823
