I'm creating an a web application much like this one: http://www.regeltante.nl/
I have started from creating a specified location and creating a
clickable sidebar.
I also studied on storing data from XML files and rendering it in a
map. I have successfully done it.
This is what I've got so far, my question is what should be my next
stop to search and locate a zip code of a certain area (UK Area)?
Should I declare all the zip code of in UK area which will be
definitely be messy or is there a google script or something google
could provide to make my task easier?

Thanks guys in advance, I appreciate your immediate response.

What do you mean..
Find the centre, or find the extent, of a postcode supplied by the
user?
or
Find the items of your dataset that lie within a postode, supplied
from where?

Using the Google maps Geocoding service you can search by 7 character post code and get LatLng coordinates for the post code.

If you use the reverse gecocoder to find the address for a LatLng you will only (due to Royal Mail licensing considerations) be returned a 5 character post code.
Other services royalmail.co.uk, nearby.org.uk, streetmap.co.uk, can return full 7character postcodes but you would need to check the Ts&Cs of use.

A post code is not like a zip code in that it is much more precise -  the first 4/5 characters split the country into areas while the last 2 narrow it down to a single business or small group of houses on a road.

As Rossko says you need to be clearer about what you intended use is.
