any chances for for a google.maps.MapOptions "allowedBounds" property with latLngBounds as attribute?

Since there is a minZoom and a maxZoom property in the API, I wonder:
is there a chance someone is working on adding an "allowedbounds"
property as well, so we don't have to resort to workarounds like this:

Would be nice so be able to define legal bounds of a map just like we
can with zoom.
