+1 from me!

My situation is that I have to compile from trunk because of some bugs that have been fixed meanwhile but some third party libs depending on guice 3.0 have problems with the newest version. They would likely solve them if there was an official release.

Hi all,

It's been a while since Guice 3.0 (16 months) and there have been many commits since (including things like http://code.google.com/p/google-guice/source/detail?r=c756777526309dc6c9ff2b5df80a8f811d390c09 and http://code.google.com/p/google-guice/source/detail?r=e7511fd1568d6799ab104c72446080c54480f4a9). Are there any plans for a new release?

Best,

I think it's definitely time to go and start tagging issues that should be fixed before 3.1, for example:

is a potential candidate. Personally I'm up for fixing/reviewing any issues/patches that get assigned to me.

FYI, the current issues tagged as 3.1 candidates are:

once we know what needs to be fixed, we can start planning for 3.1 and maybe do some RCs :)

Agreed, I'd love to see 3.1 start to coalesce.  I'm pleased as punch to see http://code.google.com/p/google-guice/issues/detail?id=529 (Optimize child injector creation) targeted for 3.1.

There's stuff happening in the world of java dependency injection.  It would be great to see the guice wheels start turning again.

Cheers,
Mike
