Service Unavailable - Google mail audit API - QUOTAS - URGENT HELP NEEDED!!!

Hi all,

   I am trying to gain access to the google mail using the audit API. But I am getting the error: Service Unavailable

Quota exceeded for the current request.

I did read in many forums that the total number of export requests are limited to 1000 per day, but I am pretty sure that I have not created any export requests today. I got the same message in the morning at around 10:00am, and again it started getting connected at 11:00am. Why is this unexpected behavior there? Has anyone else experienced the same problem. If yes, what are the measures that can be taken to overcome it???
