Change email labels

HI,
I searched a lot to know how can i change email lables using API
as i know (for now )  i can't change the email lable and i can't get the emails except unread mail
am i worng?
if so please let me know, what i want to do is to send mails and then move the mail label from sent items folder to anothrer  folder

Hi michal,

  There is no normal GData API that allows full interaction with a Gmail mailbox (labels, messages, etc). However, as Philippe shared, you can use IMAP along with XOAuth and 2-legged OAuth authentication to access user mailboxes without needing to know their password:


the link Philippe shared has detailed on Gmail IMAP extensions that allow you to interact with labels and conversations in a more Gmail-like way.

You can also access Gmail mailboxes via Google Apps Script. See:

Hi Michal,

  Google Apps Script is not accessible via the regular GData API libraries as far as I know. IMAP would be your best bet for .NET. I don't know .NET at all but I imagine there are existing IMAP libraries already. You'll need to extend them somewhat if you plan to use the Gmail IMAP extensions but that shouldn't be to difficult.
