Gmail real-time filter API

Hi, I would like to request an interesting API which I would like to see.

It would involve an ability for applications to process incoming email depending on filters which an app can set up.

For the user, they would get an Auth box saying "Do you want to allow this app to have access to your email with specific attachments it can handle?" of which it would be saved in Gmail as linked to that application (so it would appear in the Gmail settings as belonging to that app, as to not confuse the user and lock it so they can only delete it).

Then, when the user has email, if it matches the filter Gmail would then send it off to the 3rd-party, so it could be for example delivery information from Amazon could be sent to your parcel tracking app automatically or anything else imaginable. It would also be lovely if this could support a HTTP POST ping as well of, or instead of a straightforward forward to somewhere else.
