Replace User profile contact entry not to update in java

Hi,

I want update user profile using Contact Api in java but as some user profiles are already updated, So when i used to update the user profile it gets added to the user profile not replacing existing one. 

It does not even allowing me to delete the user profile entry.

Kindly help to update the user profile with single contact entry only.
