multiple entity groups in a transaction

there are some transaction options which suggest that you can begin a transaction allowing more than one entity group
but with sdk 1.5.3 on windows the beginTransaction() method does not compile with a TransactionOption parameter

Transactions are currently limited to a single entity group.

so why does the documentation refer to  begintransaction(transactionoptions)
why does transactionoptions have a method allowmultipleentitygroups

Often things appear in the SDK well before they appear in real life.

Have a look at appengine.api.search for instance.  Why is the api there, but I can't use it ;-)
