Hey there

If have to versions of my app deployed "hot" (production) and "try" (staging)

I've noticed that if I can not send a message from the "hot" version to the
"try" version using the ChannelAPI. That's fine with me.

But what happens if "hot" is default and then I switch the default to "try"?
Can the existing channels (from hot) still be used to message the new default (try)
or do the same limitations apply?

Cheers,
-Andrin

You can use channel from any version, if you know channel id.

unfortunately what you're saying is not correct.
I can not send messages using the channel API
from one user on app version A to another user
on app version B. I tried many different ways,
but it didnt work. (Have you successfully send
a message?)

The channel API is "broken" between to different
versions of your app.

Andrin,

this has nothing to do with ChannelAPI and different versions, but I sometimes get another issue:

have you ever encountered that one? if yes, any workarounds you would suggest? I'm currently sending a "ping" every 40 secs or so, which is the opposite of why I wanted to exploit channels api in the first place.

thanks,
alex.
