Hi,
A while back, I tried to create a new GAE application in the dashboard with my company's name as App-ID. There was some GAE server error when I submitted, and ever since then, the App-ID is not accessible to create as a new application. It looks it was put in a permanent reserved state, even though the application was never created.

How do I recover this App-ID?

Thanks, Jacob

If I understand the App Engine documentation right, there is no way to re-use an application name. It seems to be burnt forever.

Yep. So while you get a logical name now  some time in the future all your names are likely to be interesting hashes… especially since many of the good names were taken by domain squatters when GAE was a great way to get high quality in links from static pages.
