Seems that all other libs are served gzipped except
http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.4/jquery.min.js

Any reason and how can we repport this?

Hi Van,

Thanks for letting us know what you found.  Consider it reported!

I am not aware of any reason why jquery 1.6.4 would be returned non-gzipped.  Can you please send details on how you made the request that returned the non-gzipped reply?  Though this is clearly not indicative of all ways of making the request, I just fired up Chrome and turned on Developer Tools with View -> Developer -> Developer Tools, then made a request for the URL you sent.  The response headers contained: "content-encoding: gzip".  Hopefully that means that in at least many cases it's still being returned compressed.

Thank you, and please let us know more details!

Best regards,

It is the same for Firefox and when I ran Yslow it said the same. I am

Are you connecting through a proxy server?

See Ben Lisbakken's first two replies in this 2008 thread:

I shouldn't connect through any proxy. The weird thing was that all
other libraries were gzipped but not jquery.

However, right now from another network I get it gzipped, width other
value on Cache-Control though (should cause no cache in browser)
