As part of the v3.6 updates it is possible to click thru from trends view into analysis view when clicking on an activity point in a plot, I'd like to extend that to clicking on an interval taking you to a segment/interval view.

But what would we do there, what kind of things do we want to do that can't be done today?

It feels like its about looking at multiple intervals/segments and once, but what else is there?

Thoughts

The 'segment' is abstract representation of a route. Today we can see a segments instance on an activity. Maybe we could show a representation of the abstract segment on the activity map? If we could see it we'd be able to tighten and loosen constraints to better define it, or debug why it was matching badly (distance wrong, accepted wrong trail branch, etc.)

Maybe expensive to compute but would also be useful to see all matching activity paths that matched a segment.

Lastly id love a personal leaderboard like i used to get from strava.

In Trends, Summary, I'd like to click on a category, e.g., 5 minute peak power, and see the segment and its details (average power, peak power, HR) to which that best corresponds.

Hi,

I did a ride today with a Live Strava Segment, which GC automatically picked up as an Interval (not seen this before!?). Got me thinking that it would be good if I could easily search for my other efforts, without needing to dig around in Strava for the ride dates. Would of course be also nice to add GC type segments too, with similar functionality.

Otherwise, it would be nice to have a graphical representation of inteval averages. Another example from today... I was doing 30 second intervals, which were very spikey. Seeing power, hr, cadence etc as an interval average would be a good way of visually comparing efforts.

What I would appreciate very much is i) to improve the quality of the segments (see several posts about shortcomings or strange behaviour), ii) to enable copy and paste of the rides of a given segment shown in the comparison panel for further analysis, iii) to provide some statistics of the rides of a segment (histogram, min, max, mean ride time, standard deviation, quantile etc).
