bugs escalation - issue #37436

Hi,

Assuming that even some Google (Istio) products are holding off upgrading to Go 1.14 and that the issue #37436 is tagged with Go 1.15, do we have any expectation of a Go 1.15 fix to be backported to Go 1.14?

Sticking around with Go 1.13 is not harming me directly, but this is also a first: it is the first time since I started working with Go that I cannot safely upgrade to a newer version for this long. 

If possible, politely I ask you to consider doing a backport of the fix so it unblocks us who are waiting for this to be closed in order to upgrade.

I think that we will definitely backport a fix once we have a fix.

But we don't have a fix yet.
