Keep losing bookmarks between work & home

Last week, added some bookmarks from work.  Went home and bookmarks were missing.  Over the weekend, added some bookmarks from home.  Verified that they had been added by finding them in the GMarks menu.  Went to work and bookmarks were missing.  Tried forcing a refresh and it has no effect.  Click Manage Bookmarks Online and looked online for the bookmarks which I recently added, they are missing.  It seems like when I turn on the other computer, it incorrectly syncs the old bookmark, over-writing the new bookmarks.  This has been a reoccurring problem over several months, although it happens somewhat randomly.  Unfortunately, losing ANY bookmarks is a deal-breaker for me.  Do I need to start looking for a better bookmarks extension?

After I created this topic, I added a bookmark for it through Gmarks.  That bookmark is now gone also so there's clearly more going on here than just a syncing issue.  What gives?  Is anyone reading these reports?

Are you sure you are logged in to the same google  count? Also to confirm that a bookmark was added you should refresh GMarks.

I probably have the same problem. In fact, the new bookmarks are lost even on the same computer. I add a bookmark, then click "Refresh" and it's gone. For me it looks like GMarks fetches remote bookmarks before uploading the new one. It does not happen always. Sometimes after 2-3 attempts I manage to add a bookmark correctly, so that it appears online and on all other computers. Please, find the reason for this and fix it - this makes GMarks almost unusable.

I suspect that the problems started after updating to Firefox 13. At least, it was very close in time and I never had this problem before.

I am experiencing the exact same problem that Aleksey is experiencing.  I am using FF 14.0 Beta on a Mac.

There is another way for the bookmarks to be saved correctly (it's a kluge):  Activate GMail in a different tab of the browser (need to do this step even if I have already logged into my Gmail account previously), save the new bookmark(s)s to Gmarks (by going back to the tabs that are showing the new sites I want to save), wait several minutes, and then perform a Gmarks refresh.  All will be fine.  I am currently using this method (as well as the method Aleksey described) to ensure my new bookmarks are saved.  Like I said, it's a kluge.  I am willing to live with the kluge rather than move on to some other bookmark utility.  Gmarks is the best tool for users that use Google Bookmarks.

Best regards,

Benjamin

If i make a bookmark its not on other devices with same account.
(mobile for example)
the bookmark made on desktop pc is in the list... but if i do a
refresh, its gone.

If the bookmark is set on the google bookmarks website it works.
(bookmark is on desktop pc and mobile device)

I think this is a Gmarks Problem. The bookmark isnt really updated
online.

Can someone check it?

I am seeing exactly the same problem, hit refresh and the recently added bookmark is gone, I find that if I add the bookmark twice it then stays.

This problem went away for me....I am on the Beta channel, and Mozilla updated my FF to FF 14 Beta 10.  No problems with Gmarks anymore.

Best regards,

Benjamin
