N00b question: how to copy all FF bmarks > google then stay synced?

I've never used google bookmarks except, it seems for unlabeled ones which are all my gmaps stars. The default android browser has a section for google bookmarks so i'm hoping that if I sync FF bmarks with googles, then i'll have my mobile bookmarks & roaming (xmarks) and desktop bmarks all synced. BUT: i installed gmarks and there doesn't seem to be any option to sync FF bookmarks to google... does it do it automatically?
And (slightly O/T) does anyone know if I can easily tag all my unlabelled ones as maps, or something?

Semi-bump: if gmarks doesn't sync Firefox local bookmarks to google's cloud bookmarks, what's the point of it? Just a way to have a menu with your google bookmarks in forefox, rather than through an html page?

Exactly.
It is more simple to add new google bookmark via this addon than via html-page. And it allow to have bookmarks tree quite simple.

Thanks Hev. Wish it was more clear on the gmarks page about what it actually does! Uninstalling now...
