I'm the only one who logged in to my account.
However i can't see if someone else has been trying to log in?
It only shows successful logins... So thats the same as not showing anything at all!
I have not changed anything to my account, one day it worked and the other it just forgot my password.
It almost feels like google lost data... And looses it over and over again...
It is just a waste of time and it to me it feels like Google is loosing grip on its own stuff.
I think the recommendation to see if anyone else has logged in, is to see if someone else might be changing your password on you. A suddenly changed password is one sign of that.If someone else repeatedly attempts to login and fails, I believe it will lock you out completely. I think the fact that you are able to reset your password and then login, without having to wait another day or so, shows that this is not what happened. (But I could be wrong.)
.Perhaps, instead of them forgetting your password, your computer (note I didn't say *you*, necessarily) is sending the wrong password. There are some reasons why that would happen -- having CapsLock stuck ON being one of them -- perhaps others too. When Gmail changed its login screen about a month ago, with separate username and password "screens", I have more trouble logging in now, because I start typing the password too early and the first few characters are lost. I was used to typing it all in fast, using the Tab key, and I miss that. Old habits are hard to break.
It is peculiar that this is not a widespread problem. Yours is the only complaint about it that I've seen. That would tend to indicate that the problem might be unique to your computer, or (shall I say it) to the person in front of the computer, not something endemic to Google.
At work, there is a computer I occasionally use, where I have one heck of a hard time logging in. The computer seems to skip keystrokes occasionally, and this seems to happen when logging in. But I can see it when I type my email address too. Stupid computer.Andy
Thats it. I am locked out completely...
I have to reset te password and do the SMS code request to gain acces to my account again
Now also I cant access Adsense right now.
So far nobody has been able to log into my account.
If anyone is doing this on purpose then I want to know as much as possible about it.
Not the keyboard, its on Google's end.

. I wish Google had at least some kind of direct support line.
...
I think google should not just list 'successful logins' but also 'unsuccessful login attempts' At least then I know what is going on in case of an attack (if any?)
It just doesn't make sense. I'm don't think I am a target. But again, there is no way to verify that.
But it is also the login of my Adsense... And that makes more money for Google without doing any work then me doing all the work to place the ads...
And the ads that are in my gmail, that does not bring google any money? If they would not add ads to my Gmail screen THEN it would be a bit more Gratis, But then they still will capitalase on MY DATA.So please do not confuse me about 'free'. Google is NOT free at all, and it is also not gratis. They pretty much use all of us and sell our data to whoever wants to pay for it. So from that perspective you may call it theft! But I still don't think that Larry and Sergei are the bad guys. But with all that money that they squeese out of OUR data they could eventually show more respect to us. It's their choice not to do that so then it is my right to say as much about it as I want.
It still does not answer the question, so I will keep reminding. :-)
And sure they also offer a solution to pay on top of it all it you really want, why not... I didn't know that still existed.
I sure like to suggest my idea to google, but.. there is no-way to reach them... Not even for important questions. But a real improvement would be to offer people an option to contact google with questions in the first place.
Send feedback is not available in the login screen, and yes i have send feedback, But that feedback seems not to arrive there there is no way for me to verify that Google has actually seen my feedback and is actually doing something. Writing on a wall and hoping that someone read it is kinda silly when you don't know where the wall is located... (dark ally, main entrance)But i'm not here to fight you, you also have your freedom of speech. But allo of this is NOT solving the issue of being LOCKED OUT every time.No i don't make money from the ads. The ads still cost me money, if I would count all the work to have the ads on the website, and the hoops google lets you jump trough to keep things going.and how much do advertisers PAY google per ad. so how much % goes to google? Sure there is some money coming my way. But Google does not pay my hours with that.I'm not here to make Google happy... Google makes us think that they give us something, but in fact google is TAKING our time. And i just hope that they stop wasting time and put things at least into balance.Ok not locked out.. then how do you call it when you try to open the door with a key that is not accepted by google? That's LOCKED OUT in my world. And i stay LOCKED out until i have a NEW KEY that works.Freedom of speech is something you don't seem to understand. It is there so that people CAN rant and CAN complain so that things CAN change. If you don't like rant's and complaining then you sould not read posts on a support-ish forum. I have worked on a helpdesk. And thats what you get there... people who have complaints and rant about it as long as the issue is NOT SOLVED.And again you twist things around by saying that I make sweeping statements? I merely tell how I experience thingstrying to explain what is actually wrong. That you act as ....well, a fanboy (? sorry I can't find an other english word for it) trying to ignore that, that is not my problem is it?If my mail was business critical I sure would not put it on a server where Google has more access to my data then myself. And I'm not sure where you are from Andy Are you in the USA?There is also a cultural difference it seems, here where I am in Europe people speak their mind.In places as the US and the UK people try much harder to be polite and police themselves, and never solve anything because of it. (half baked political solutions at best) Now i must say on a political level Europe is just as bad...So if you don't mind I give you the last word, on this. And I go back to the real issue of getting locked out. I think I was clear enough about my point of view.I don't hate Google, else I would not use it. But I don't like how things are done when it comes to support. And that's constructive feedback where I come fromWasting time on new passwords costs less time then giving constructive feedback to deaf ears..Larry, Sergei... Come on guys. I'm sure you can do better then this.

For all the issues in the group it really looks like a makeshift Google helpdesk..Hmm ok. then another question Where can i find decent Google support?Ik keep using it because it is too much work at this point in time to move again..I moved to Google because it looked like a good idea at the time. Well it was... Hotmail was a very bad choice...
Good that there is something but ... o well.My opinion is based on the facts that I described, However I also didn't notice that several different people where replying. In the e-mail i just did not expect replies from different people . I usually only have correspondence with one person at a time.It looked twisted because to me it looked like I still was in the conversation with Andy. My apologies for that.
I was on about cultural differences. I'm Dutch BTW.I'm not into this business, I'm just a customer who ran into a very irritating issue that I like to see solved and who gives feedback how I experience it. If that's not constructive then what is?
But as I said, I will move my email to another place, but I can't move Adsense, so the issue is still there. Your suggestion to take on Big G does not make sense. Larry and Sergei however have the means to make it better, and it is also in their best interest.. But IF I would be in their business, then yes, I would have people actively looking for issues and fixing them ASAP. And I would also let people know what issues are being fixed. And when they are expected to be solved.

This was what Goggle gave me as first hit when I searched for Oficial Google Support. So is Google itself indexes it like this.... o well
I will try the official offical one now. Thanks for pointing me there!Cursing is a side effect of something, and cursing has a reason. Official support knows this and takes it into account. At least at the helpdesks where I have worked in the past it was.

On purpose or not? Who knows... you might ask a conspiracy specialist about that..So is it that hard to imagine that you are a sitting duck when that leads to a situation where the search engine leads you to the wrong place?and ssupport.google.com is pretty much useless when wan to ask why this is happening \... when you search you get abunch of useless hits that do not offer any suport where you can just ask a question to a human being.so when you go down that list then this group is the first you find.the pre chewed answers on questions that you do not want to ask might help for common questions but not for more specific questionsIt's never a your to deal with people that are pissedoff. But people do get pissed off very often just right before they go ask for support and get even more pissed off when the support is hard to find especcially when you ask the biggest seachengine for support that exact same company. etc.
... anyhow..I don't mind if pissed people curse in public or cyber. Its merely a result of something.
Freedom of speech and expression.

I'm no longer pissed, but Google still has room for improvements. It is not my fault that google has a lax approch when it comes to support. For that reason I landed in the wrong forum...
I agree you can't help it either. but Google can... So lets hope that google reads along and looks for a solution so that other people don't HAVE to drop in by accident, pissed, cursing and ranting.Sorry to be a burden, but i'm certainly not the last who will end up here by 'accident'And also not the last one who is going to be pissed ...
I have not noticed any tagline, but ok again, it was there somewhere. And in my email it is not.
So, it this issue was some kind of attack, then the person who did it had a bit of a succes... But it would have been cooler if that person would have send me an email. Now I still don't know why it happened. And i could then have looked to solve the problem.
Just like Google could have solved something if they would have been more easy to reach. (May I call that evil?)

All the links I get send you around in circles. And if you do search for 'gmail support' do you then find any real support?Where you can ask a real question to a real person?
Really? Sure the rules where there, I never came across them, I didn't even know there where rules. So you really think that someone who is pissed and looking for support for a long time will even bother to search for and read a whole page of yadda yadda?
And ok they are now a great thing to put me in a corner. With many BILLIONS of ads in all those hundreds of millions of Gmail accounts there sure will be a budget for support. And the ads are not the only thing google uses to monetise on its users. So I'm sorry, I don't agree. With all the 'automated self support' they offer there for sure should be room for questions that the support system didn't cover....With all the money and technology that google has in house you don't have to make an excuse for them to not being able to do this and use money as a reason. $5/month is just fee to remove ads distractions. So they should be just as happy with the money they now make with the ads in the accounts.
But ok, you made your point. Though I do hope that somehow google looks into this and finds a decent solution.Even Chinese websites have better support... It's also a mess, but they at least managed to offer real support. Even for non critical questions.
Now don't say that manpower is cheaper there... :-) It is, but that's not the point.
