We use gmail hosted email.  I have been given a new user e-mail box.  I was going to send other members of our domain an e-mail and when I clinked on the contacts there were none of my domain's other users e-mails in the list of people to send e-mail to.  Am I missing something?

Hosted e-mail does not necessarily mean shared contacts.  That's up to your administrator.  You need to contact them to be sure it's turned on.  And even if it is, I've seen it take a little while (few hours) to actually populate on new accounts.

I want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.  Every person in our city has a e-mail account.  I was wanting not to have to already know the other peoples e-mail address in order to send them e-mail to them.  So you are saying the google apps admin can turn this feature on?

Thanks for the reply by the way.

By "every person in our city", do you mean everyone living in the
city, or every city employee?

Andy, looking at first message in this thread. At a guess, translation utility has substituted "city" for "domain"...

That could be. Judging by his email address domain, I figured he was
American and probably didn't need to translate.
