Hello,

MELT is available as a package for Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise) and 12.10
(Quantal) in version 0.9.7. MELT Syntax file has been updated to add
some new keywords (debug, list_append, when).

For those of you using Debian, rebuilding the package for Debian
unstable is just a matter of calling debuild or any of your preferred
method, we just confirmed with basile today that it works well.

Alexandre, be kind to remind on this list the exact procedure to build
that package for Debian/Sid: what files should we extract
(from what URLs) and what command should we run, those unfamiliar
with package building as I am.

Thanks for the good work.

I'm waiting for your email here that you've been able to build the melt-plugin-snap-r192737 snapshot.
I did it for you.

Cheers.

Sorry for this.

Easiest way is, considering the amount of dependencies, to just use
debuild, provided by the devscripts package.

Then,
$ git clone git://gitorious.org/melt-debian-package/melt-debian-package.git
$ cd melt-debian-package
$ debuild

You might have to install some of the build dependencies.
