Hi,

I upgraded my solutions nuget packages and noticed that FNH upgraded to version 1.3, although according to fluentnhibernate.org, the latest stable release is still 1.2. So I'm a bit confused. Aren't only stable releases supposed to be put in the Nuget repos?

What confuses me more (and this is more of a Nuget question) is that if I do
get-package -listavailable -filter fluentnhibernate
I get: FluentNHibernate 1.2.0.712, although v1.3 is definitely IN the repo.

What's the recommended way of managing stable packages for FNH?

thanks,
Francois

Hi,

The 1.3.x Version on NuGet is supposed to work with NHibernate v.3.2 and it's made public to get working with NHibernate v3.2 until the new Version of FluentNHibernate is released.

Unfortunately there are some breaking changes in FNH 1.3. Actually I suspect some are bugs. But that's not the point. I would prefer to work only with stable releases. I think there are many developers who would follow this principle. In fact, in our enterprise environment we are not allowed to use pre-release versions.

So back to my original question: how can I force Nuget to use only the latest stable release of FNH? And why the discrepancies between update-package and get-package?

It's planned for Nuget v1.6! From http://nuget.codeplex.com

1.6OctImprove Support for CI Scenarios such as the restore packages feature, support for pre-release or "Beta" packages.
