To my knowledge, no, you can't. It's like the quest of the alchemists of old trying to transmutate other metals into gold.
There are other strategies you could experiment with, like deleting the A and then inserting the B/C, or using composition instead of inheritance.
If you find out otherwise and it CAN be done, I'd love to know, too!

We might do the delete/insert approach, but since this is a feature that has low priority on our system we are putting it on hold right now. Until there, we may find a better solution and I will post it here.
