Hi,

Object and ObjectProxy are Hashmap like classes in Flex if u use their objects like hashmap and not just as super class of all.

Hi ramesh,

You can simply use an Object to implement hashmap.

Which looks something like this:

private static const m_typeMappings:Object = {"apple": Fruit, "car": Vehicle, "water": Element, "student": Teacher};

FYI:it better to use Object proxy,if you are going to bind this with any component.because Object is not bindable where as ObjectProxy is bindable.
