About 60% of people detained by ICE at the South Bay Detention Center in Boston do not have legal representation, and without legal representation their chance of being released on BOND is near zero. The Boston Immigrant Justice Accompaniment Network, of which UU Mass Action is a part, provides support in a variety of ways—pastoral, legal, raising money for bond, providing court accompaniment—and they do their best to follow the leadership of those most directly impacted. They are searching for pro-bono attorneys interested in joining them in this important work. Lawyers, please sign up for a training on bond hearings.
