Hear about the Clover Foundation work in Kampala, Uganda
Sunday, October 22, 11:30 a.m., in the Sanctuary
The Clover Foundation’s mission is to enable young children living in Kampala, Uganda to have the health, confidence, and ability to grow and become a source of change
in their community. Clover supports the education of 71 children from impoverished families. With meals and emergency medical care, Clover preschoolers become eager students in the safe and nurturing environment, while elementary students pass entrance exams
and move on to Eaglets Academy. To provide for Clover families, a nano-finance program, Kisoboka, gives mothers interest free loans to build their small businesses. Clover has a growing impact locally and plans to expand to a larger property in the next year.
Come hear about how Clover changes lives from Peter Hilton, Chair of the Board of Clover, and from others who have visited Kampala. They will report on the SAC grant Clover
received for an early literacy program created by MIT and Tufts and would like to explore potential partnering with First Parish children and teachers. Peter is the past president of Open Table.
