head problems

Hi, bonjour

Can you explain me why there's a difference between  firebug head control and unix lynx console command as:

lynx  -head "http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-ahuntsic"
and the result 302!!!

because
with firebug
i get 200 with http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-ahuntsic

So i am not a dev but
someone of team devs lynks says links uses HHTP/1.0
what about firebug??

and WHO SAYS RIGHT HERE?? Qui dit vrai ici?
firebug or unix lynx command line ??

Please note, that the current version of Firebug is 1.8.3. 1.7 is not supported anymore.
And testing this with FF 7.0.1 + FB 1.8.3 + Win7 I get the correct result of 302 Moved Temporarily.

Forgot to mention something:
At http://web-sniffer.net/ you can always test requests independently, which really helps sometimes.

my english is perhaps not very good..
i can understand
you confirm command line lynx -head "http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-
ahuntsic" is a good result?? !
and it's THE SAME as with FF 7.0.1 + FB 1.8.3 + Win7 .Is it that?
I do not have Microsoft Win 7 machine so only xp

Yes, 302 is expected. I tried it again with another network traffic analyzer called Wireshark and I get the same result:

Note, that http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-ahuntsic redirects to http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-ahuntsic?lang=fr. That's why you get the 302.
If I call http://edu.ca.edu/squelette-ahuntsic?lang=fr directly, I also get HTTP status 200.
