I just wanted to note, that in general you could also use the
alpha and beta releases of Firebug without worries. We have a lot of
unit tests, that guarantee, that existing features are not broken in a new release. Just in the case there's no automated test yet for some part of Firebug it could be, that a feature is broken when there were changes to it. Also using that versions you can help us with finding these uncovered errors.

I found a Firebug bug! for such cases, which helps you to either solve the problem by yourself or to create a proper test case.
