Migration from Parse to Firebase

Hey guys,

I'm currently a Parse (Parse Server) user with MLab as the backing database. I'm considering switching over to Firebase, but I'm strugglign find to how to perform the following functions through your console of whether Firebase has support for these.

1) Do you support the equivalent of Parse's Cloud Code?

2) How we do handle scheduled jobs through the Firebase console?

3) I'd like to be run some server-side code after some write operations are completed (related to Cloud Code feature)

We don't have anything built in to the platform for this yet, but we're exploring integration with Google Cloud Functions. No specifics to announce yet, but we're definitely thinking about it. In the meantime, you can definitely use App Engine Node alongside Firebase to achieve much of the same effect.

 

2) How we do handle scheduled jobs through the Firebase console?

This would be something again you'd need to handle externally through App Engine or another infra provider.

 

3) I'd like to be run some server-side code after some write operations are completed (related to Cloud Code feature)
