I can't stand Seifer and I ignore that he exists in canon. I know that the plot of FF8 revolves around Squall/Rinoa, but I haven't accepted it, so if that and any other heterosexual pairing were not involved at all, I'd prefer it. My favorite FF8 concept is a codependent sorceress!Rinoa and knight!Quistis - I don't know how Selphie would play into that dynamic but I love her to bits anyway.
Sex is fine but I'm not really into it, I definitely prefer character development and plot. I prefer hurt/comfort, angst, and anything with conflict over fluff for fics. I don't like art where the characters are doing each other's nails or makeup because the implication that because they're girls means that they have to be Girls drives me bonkers.
