I just really love the loyalty and the personal relationship here, above and beyond “leader and chief enforcer”. We only see it hinted at, but it’s there if you look - Violet is loyal to Mina above and beyond the company, and Mina reciprocates that. I’d love something that got into the early days of Black River under Mina’s control, or maybe fic where Mina comes along on one of the Witches’ jobs, or perhaps Mina decides to bring Violet along to one of those Memphis society events as a bodyguard. I would prefer relatively little emphasis on seducing guys, and no one getting executed for witchcraft; I know that’s Mina’s canon fate, but if your fic covers that timeframe, I’d prefer you go AU (maybe she faked her own death and fled out West?).

(Warning - I've only read the Sasha books. If they're in the later ones, I don't know about it.) What happens after the end of the series? Do they go to the Olympics together in 2016? How's college? How about high school? What are they like as adults? Feel free to put in some sort of coming-out drama here - Sasha's parents seem like they'd handle it pretty well, but Heather's parents might not react well to discovering that their perfect pretty princess isn't going to be marrying a rich boy. Also, please ignore the male love interests as much as possible. I didn't really actively dislike them, but I did not care in the slightest for any of them.

This one was basically the consequence of some stream-of-consciousness weirdness. They’re both from the general area of Thorns. They’re both still working there, which should put them in each other’s path - indeed, there’s one comic that has Anja getting captured by the Maiden during an attempt to get a Solar out of the area unharmed. (According to Ingosh’s writeup in DotFA, his Solar mate is Dawn caste, which means it’s at least possible they reincarnated into Maiden, for some bonus conflict potential.) But for all those similarities, they’ve gone down such different life paths. How much are they aware of each other? Have they interacted at all prior to Anja getting captured? Did they possibly know each other as children? (The timeline’s admittedly a bit weird there - as far as I can tell, Maiden is a couple years older - but it’s not impossible.) I personally like the idea of them being bondmates and having to deal with various associated trouble, but you don’t have to go that way.

I like the potential conflict and contrast here - Havoc admittedly has a different skill set than Kayo, but she still kind of seems like a dark mirror, the one who chose to use her skills for evil. Kayo’s more physical role/skills vs. Havoc’s hacker mind-fuckery and illusion also go well together. I’d be interested in fic where something goes wrong and they’re stuck together and have to work together to survive, or something where one of them switches sides and they’re on a team, or something where they keep their canon conflict but there’s some sort of attraction they can’t fight forever. How do they balance those feelings with the fact that they’re on opposite sides of the fight?
