Hello,

I would like to announce the immediate availability of fcrepo-java-client v0.1.2, a Java-based client for interacting with a Fedora4 repository over its HTTP-based REST API.

This release adds three new features to the Java client, notably:

1. Preemptive authentication
2. Properly closing response streams on failure
3. Add support for configuring the client with system properties

I would especially like to thank Elliot Metsger (Johns Hopkins University) and Mohamed Mohideen Abdul Rasheed (University of Maryland) for their contributions to this project.

API documentation for fcrepo-java-client is available at: http://fcrepo4-exts.github.io/fcrepo-java-client/site/0.1.2/fcrepo-java-client/apidocs/

Java artifacts are currently available at https://github.com/fcrepo4-exts/fcrepo-java-client/releases and will soon be available in maven central.

Best regards,

Aaron Coburn
