Hi!

I'm trying to add a chart to a webpage, however when I view the page, only the frame of the chart shows up, not the content (the actual statistics) and the Flash icon keeps turning endlessly. What am I doing wrong?

The link: www.weblife.si/userportal     -> go to San Martino, on the right click Statistika.

Hi Jure,

Does your chart work OK on explainum.com? Could you please also
specify your browser/OS and give the direct link (or paste
screenshot) ? When I click your link I'm immediately redirected to
http://www.weblife.si/page/ where I can't see San Martino.

Cross-site requests should be enabled in browser as data is
dynamically fetched from explainum.com.

Thanks,

Dmitry

Hi!

Sorry, my mistake, the address is http://www.weblife.si/page/userportal, then go to San Martino, then on the right click Statistika.
Yes, the chart works on explainum. There's no direct link as the /userportal part of page is written in Ajax so anything you click will still have the same /userportal address.

As far as I can see it doesn't work on any of the browsers when accessing through our site. That said, on explainum it works in all browsers.

Yours truly,

Jure

It looks like there is a conflict with one of JS scripts loaded on the page -- one of them influences Explainum's widget behavior.

We need some time to give it a closer look.

UPDATE: problem is caused not by any external script, but by the fact that widget is placed into hidden div and therefore parent div height cannot be obtained (it equals 0 for hidden div) which leads to incorrect chart size.

Current version of the widget can not deal with hidden divs -- we will add this functionality into next release.

As a workaround you can hide tabs not with display:none but with for example left:-2000px -- in this case it will remain outside of screen but will be "visible" for widget script. For example, you can modify CSS  to something like

.portal-hidden {left:-2000px}

and then use jQuery's addClass/removeClass or toggleClass in JS functions showContent / hideContent

Hello, I have tried to create a chart using Explainum with Google Analytics.  Creation of the chart, usability all seems to work fine. However the data returned is incorrect.  It's not just off a little bit, but everything pretty much comes back as zeroes, with like "1 page view" in November.  I am getting over 10K views per month, on average somewhere around 800 per day.  So this cannot be right.

First I thought maybe I was inputting the wrong GA profile id#, however, I rechecked it several times, even entered an incorrect one on purpose to see what would happen, and it would not validate nor create the chart.  When I enter the correct id#, it validates and creates the chart, so it can't be the id#.  Something appears to be wrong with the way the data is being fetched.

Not sure what info you need from me to troubleshoot, but my username is "DavidShares".

Thanks,

David

Hi vijayan,

Can you provide a link to the webpage, or describe what you're doing and what you're getting. In most cases it works OK.

Dmitry
