sorting Saturday, May 5, at the Bill Cody arena of the Tri State Fair
grounds. Books open at 8 AM with the youth class starting at 8:30 sharp
followed by the Youth AQHA sorting, All levels HC, Open AQHA sorting, 13 HC,
10HC, Amateur AQHA sorting, 10 Masters, 11 Rookie HC, 8HC, 6HC and the 4 non
handicapped class. 5 ride limit per class. Mandantory draw 1 ride
and pick 1 ride or pick up to 4 rides and draw 1 ride or can draw all 5 rides.
Plenty of family fun with classes for the beginner to the experienced

to be a better horseman and improve your horses roping performance with Trey and
Katie Dove, of Diamond D Performance Horses. Saturday, May 19th will begin at
9:00 am and address basic horsemanship training, both on the ground and under
saddle. Sunday, May 20th will begin at 1:00 pm, after church, with team roping
and will concentrate on rope horse training and performance. Whether you ride
just for fun or love to compete, this clinic will help you communicate better
with your horse and gain the increased performance that you want. The cost is
$100 for Saturday and only $150 for both days, with all proceeds benefiting the
family of Aaron and Shana Douglas. They have recently been blessed with a new
baby girl, Morgan, who was born at a mere 2 lbs and has already had to undergo
heart surgery. Please register by phone, e-mail, or fax. Clinic will be held at
West Texas Cowboy Church, located at 12144 E Hwy 528, Gardendale, TX. Current
Coggins will be required.

- The first in our summer camp series:
Summer riding camp for beginners ages
7 - 11. Camp will be held from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Before and after care is available. Each camp session will be limited to eight
participants. Beginners will learn:
How to safely approach, halter, and
lead a horse.
How to groom and tack up, incuding picking up and cleaning
hooves.
How to mount and dis-mount safely.
The "natural aids" to
communicate with the horse.
Walk and trot; learning to ride schooling figures
in the arena.
Horse management; mucking stalls, proper feeding schedules,
etc.
Horseman's language, parts of the horse, parts of the saddle &
bridle.
All participants will ride twice daily. Unmounted activities include: crafts, movies, water games, and fun.
Cost is $250, which includes lunch
daily. $100 deposit is required. Space is extremely
limited.

world show in amatuer reining and is by Clarks Hill Billie ($116763: 3rd, NCHA
Open Futurity).
Remy was sent into training and
started, but he got strangles and then pigeon breast and was never
finished. Hasn't been ridden in over a year. He would make a great project
horse for someone with a lot of experience working with green horses, but he is
not for beginners. He is very athletic and quick. Current on
vaccines, teeth, worming, coggins, and trimming. $1,500 obo.
