The Project "Save Water" - Training for Teachers


On 31 March 2017, the training was held for school teachers that are
involved in the project “Save Water.” The meeting was organized by the NGO
“EcoVision.” The teachers got information about the project, its goals and
implementation process. A presentation about the importance of saving water
was also held. The meeting participants were also informed about the “SPARE”
project and about establishing and working of eco-clubs.



The 16 schools of Varketili selected the leader teachers for participating
in the campaign “Save Water.” Each teacher will create a team from active
students and will lead them until the end of the project.



The project “Save Water” is organized by the company “Georgian Water and
Power” (gwp) and NGO “EcoVision.” The aim of the project is sustainable
usage and saving of water resources, as well as raising the civic activism
with the help of youth. The project is supported by the Ministry of
Environment and Natural Resources Protection and the Ministry of Education
and Science.
