Eco Camp “Discover Georgia” Participants Received a Training in
Contemporary
Approaches of Waste Management
In the first half
of the training, schoolchildren acquired knowledge in
waste management
practices in Georgia and modern approaches including
technologies that work
efficiently in European countries. After introductory
session, the children
participated in an interactive discussion together
with WMTR II team that
was aimed at reflection on innovative thinking and
modern technologies that
can be used for sustainable waste management. The
second half of the
training was assigned for practical exercise. The task
was to identify
specific problems related to waste management on the
concrete location and
find solutions through an innovative project using
modern technologies and
mobile applications. Finally, teams presented models
of their projects made
solely of waste materials.
WMTR II program is implemented by
CENN, with the support of United States
Agency for International Development
(USAID).
