Civil Society on the Risks of Failing to Implement the EU Association
Agreement




According to the appeal: ”The inconsistencies between the state policy
documents and the removal of the whole forestry sector that was included in
previous plans and reports, leave an impression of deviation from the
EU-Georgia Association Agenda and give the first alarming signs regarding
the implementation of the Association Agreement.



We consider, that the submitted document creates risks to the implementation
of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement and therefore, call upon the
Government of Georgia to suspend the approval of the document until the
Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Georgia ensures its
consistency with the previous documents and the Roadmap for the
implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement in the fields of
environment and climate action”
