Impact
Hub Sessions has Started
WMTR II team has launched the Impact
Hub Sessions - a contest for students
in Adjara AR aiming to encourage young
people to become active citizens and
to support them to identify waste
management challenges in their communities
and find appropriate
solutions.
The contest has two sessions. The first session took
place on November 9–10,
at Bulachauri Green Center, where 16 students
received training and
mentorship to convert their ideas for solutions to
local waste management
problems into functional projects. On November 22,
these 4 groups will
present their projects to the jury who will select the
winner(s) according
to the following criteria: sustainability,
effectiveness, and local
community involvement. The closing ceremony of the
Impact Hub Sessions will
take place at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State
University.
WMTR II program is implemented by CENN with the
support of USAID.
