Discussion Regarding Walnut Value Chain Analysis Held in
Batumi
On 7 March 2017, with the support of the EU-funded
European Neighbourhood
Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development
(ENPARD), in the framework
of the project “Empowering Modern Research
Practices of Regional
Agriculture-Related Institutions”, Georgian Institute
of Public Affairs
organised a discussion regarding walnut value chain
analysis in Batumi, at
the Sheraton Hotel.
The aim of the
meeting was to discuss the results of walnut value chain
research analysis
among local stakeholders. Presentations delivered on the
research analysis,
followed by a group discussion.
Academic staff and students of
Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University,
representatives of Minister of
Agriculture, Agro Service and farmers
attended the event.
The
project “Empowering Modern Research Practices of the Regional
Agriculture-Related Institutions” is supported by the European Union through
ENPARD programme. The project is being implemented by the Georgian Rural
Development Department of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs in
partnership with CENN and PMC Research Centre.
