Help with creating a new technology

Hi all,

 

I am trying to build a new technology using the Technology Editor in Electric.The only way i figured out to create a new technology is by editing an old one.

So i created a new sample technology called test1(see the attachment test1.jelib) by using the options in Edit->Technology Specific and editing the Generic CMOS technology which is already existing.

 

The problem is that i am not able to set the DRC rules for the new technology i created.

 

I tried exporting the DRC deck of the original technology and later importing it into the new technology but it didnot work either.

 

Page 206 in the Electricmanual.pdf says that DRC rules cannot be edited.So it would be very helpful if anyone can help me in creating a new technology with my own DRC rules.

I did it by modifing source code and rebuilding.

For now I am on vacation and I am far from source code.

I can help you on September.
