Up 20% in Toronto

My house in Toronto went up 20% in 2016, so my X and I picked up a cool $100,000 tax free. 

Sure glad there's no LVT in Canada.  : )

Unless you donate $50,000 of your ill gotten gains to the Henry George Foundation of Canada, I am going to tell the CRA that your house in Toronto is not your principal residence.
