Dear all,

A mobile tower is being constructed in DDA park in Sector 4 Dwarka. When we contacted the CE Dwarka, he informed us that 100 such towers are to be constructed (mostly in the parks). All permission and other requirements have been given to the Reliance people. All sites have been checked by DDA staff and found to be satisfactory.
Question is being raised by the common people as to why are the green parks being targetted? Every morning and evening kids, youngsters, senior people, all come to the park for walking, strolling, doing Yoga, or just meeting up with each other. Why can't other spaces be found for these radiation emitting towers( after dishs are set and frequency increased plenty to be afraid off)?

A protest by young kids was organised in the sector 4 park adjoining United Apartments on Friday 27 Aug 2015. It is important for all Dwarka residents to unite for this cause. If these little ones can do it why not all of us.

Towers can be put along Najafgarh drain, empty lots, main crossings and other locations. Dda is looking for rent from these towers to fill its coffers, but at the cost of human lives.

Please lets help each other and our future generations.

I understand that there is a court ruling on these towers. How can DDA break law ?

Last year this issue was raised with hue & cry. Protests by general public during Rahagiri was also done. But lastly public demand was brushed under the carpet.

Going away from mobile tower. The drop call rate is suddenly rising and an advertisement by a private player to provide fastest 4G connection is a slap in the face of Government players like MTNL & BSNL. Why Government is not challenging the advertisement is amusing. 

Regarding mobile tower when it comes to one's own colony or park,  they wake-up.  When neighbourhood were demanding removal of such mobile towers majority were mute spectators. There must one voice in chorus that green area must not be allowed for commercial exploitation. Go for land line, to get something have to sacrifice something.

I was part of the demonstration in Raahgiri too. I have been opposing the installation of towers near Apt buildings since last year. Here the issue it Public parks being leased by DDA for increasing their funds. Tomorrow some temporary shacks may come up in the same parks and DDA having given them on rent to sell household items or other things.
 DDA is custodian of the parks. It does not own them. We as tax payers are the real owners. Was any consent taken from us before giving these parks spaces on rent. Dwarka does not have any RWA so DDA is taking advantage of it. Same happened with Water issue. We had to buy water through water tankers for almost 7 years.
We all have to wake up and spread this message through facebook, twitter, intagram etc. We can try to get together. The children have started something and it should be taken forward. How they they understand the power of Unity if we don't take their efforts forward.

Shri Reji ji, Shri Arunji ji you have echoed exactly most of us are thinking in this matter.

Internet and Mobile usage is almost a necessity.Though, it is us who have made it so.The sign of the times, I guess.
What options one can look at is how other countries are dealing with this issue.We need not accept the same as it is.

Most of us are unaware of the facts that DDA is Custodian agency
and not the owner of parks , parks are owned by the people living
in that particular area , price of land purchased in Dwarka is inclusive
of the roads, parks, pedestrian passage , DDA can be challenged in
the court for allotting the public place for any other use which is different
from the Master plan.

Mme, I did shared a lot of information in this matter. Mr. Pankaj from sec 12 also shared.
But unfortunately no one seems interested in Dwarka to fight such matters.
if some one is interested must use these info under RTIA which evidently prove beyond any doubt this is CORRUPTION nothing else.
Some Informations received and still challenged are as follows. The matter is also with CIC and recently Vasant Kunj residents also raised alarm.

I dont agree with argument that all need 3/4G so we should allow them to errect these towers.

1.         as Per RTI ID No. CE/DWK/26/80/14/Misc/9002 dated 4/12/2014 stated that feasibility study available. Please provide the copy of the feasibility study through DDA Website under Section 4 of RTIA 2005.

 

Answer : Feasibility report is available in the form hard copy an same is enclosed (6 page)

 

Appeal: PIO/FAA CE Dwarka is very smartly MISLEADING a Table contain list of site is handwritten and stated as FEASIBILITY Study. IS THIS HOW PROFESSIONALISM in DDA ? Is this how Public Properties are evaluated. Are these people paid money to generate tables and handwritten it as FEASIBILITY Report ? The PIO/FAA is MISLEADING must be punished under RTIA 2005.

Answer : The errection of Towers depend upon transmission waves with specified latituted and longtitue resulting in shifting of locations some times within the park.

The reply found vauge to mislead as if techncinal jargon not understood. Please desist from such answer and provide information on records.

Answer : 15x10 sq ft has been provided for erection of Mobile towers.  

Appeal: The info sought reason for not mentioned exact location in all documents raises serious question on INTEGRITY of  those involved.

j.          As per RTI 18 tower sites have been allotted, please provide current status of these sites along with Pictures and drawings or any other documents available with DDA.

20.       Role of LPC Department

a.         Please provide the LPC Department details under Section 4 of RTIA 2005 with 17 manuals. If the same available through DDA website please provide completed web PAGE address to access. If not please provide the copies.


Answer : Matter refer to System Department.  

Appeal: How the information pertain to LPC pertain to system. The docuemtns to be provided by LPC and till date no such no information available on website of DDA. The compliane of seciton 4 is LPC PIO responsibility and not Systems. System department only upload them. If the LPC  provided these documents to systems, please provide the date of the same.

Appeal: Prima facie it is evidently proved these towers as on date Illegal. So why the LPC not initiated Sealing and demolishing under DDA Act ?  Is there a nexus with LPC DDA and Mobile Towers company ?. Have LPC cancelled it or own the responsibility which amount to CRIMINAL NEGLIEGANCE ? In sector 22 it was even established on record cutting trees and damaging trees amount serious violation of Envniroment normas. As per norms Mr. Prabhjot Singh should have been booked by now under these and put on suspension along with others encoruaging the environment damage & compromising public safety . 


25.       Please provide reason recorded by CE Dwarka as FAA and SE HQ Dwarka for delay for responding to RTI ID file don 2/12/2014 responding only on 3/2/2015 while a possession of over 28 Mobile Tower sites were handling in a matter of FIVE Days where as replying an RTI takes over 60 days?

In addition to the RADIATION hazard, jeopardizing the green areas and foliage, these towers have created deaf spots which increases the call drops and signal outages.

The mobile companies are focusing only on improving 4G internet services instead of first ensuring to provide stable 2G call services. This is increasing the call drops and reducing the conversation quality for the existing mobile subscribers significantly

Glad to see that residents / children of United Apt, Sector 4 protested against upcoming mobile tower in park adjoining their society.

Every sector of Dwarka Sub City has the same issue. Be it Sector 19 next to OPG World School; Sector 12 Opp Kendriya Vidyalaya or at several other places.

We the residents of Dwarka have been fighting lone battles against Indus / Reliance but need of the hour is coming together on ONE PLATFORM, which seems impossible in a place like Dwarka Sub City.

Residents of Sector 12 tried every trick. We asked for help from SDMC councillor; she was of no help. Local MLA managed to stop tower erection for a month but afterwards he couldn't intervene as it is a DDA park.

Requested MP but he didn't responded even. Later we collected signatures of 600-700 residents and mailed to MP Parvesh Varma only afterwards he did sent letter to LG which had no effect.

Finally we approached NGT which gave stay on operationalization of tower but didn't stopped erection of tower. Two hearings are over & next is in Mid September.

I must bring this to the notice of Dwarka Forum members that Modus Operandi of Indus Tower / Reliance is that they are taking up one tower at a time. They know that residents of Dwarka are least united and scattered protest won't reach media / our MP / Urban Development Minister nd they will keep on putting towers on the park meant for our children.

Wake up guys else its too late.

P.s. A mobile tower of Indus was coming next to Vasant Valley School reportedly owned by India Today group. I learnt that they just managed to shift the location of the tower far away as Honble LG was kind enough to hear their request.

We are ordinary citizens & our Un elected Government 'Honble LG' will not bother to listen to us.

Lets all unite. We should get labourers and damage the foundation on which the pillar will stand. In Sector 4 park, they completed the base yesterday. If we are not protesting against wrongdoings then we are also to blame. We should follow "Gita".

Surprised to see the attitude of our Hon'ble MP (non-responsive).  MP responds only after getting 600-700 signatures. This attitude of our elected leader is very ridiculous.

Why go for damaging the structure. Put photos of God or Goddess and start worshiping every morning by putting few flowers. Let it be by morning walkers. If that doesn't work put concentrate salt solution.
