Sir,

An example how people of Dwarka denied even Golden Hours to take patients to hospital.
All are well aware Dwarka have MSH.

In this case drivers given way to Ambulance but DTP staff as usual were stopping traffic from Dwarka
DTP must review its manual traffic control.

DDA Fly Over division official s are visiting Saturday at 11 AM to consider some urgent work to smoothing the traffic mouth portion of under pass.

DTP official should join at site.

Sad incident. Ambulance should be allowed on priority basis.

Hi Reji and other members of Dwarka Forum,

You have brought up an important issue. Ambulances should be given right of way IF they are transporting patients in life threatening situations. HOWEVER, please note that there are two different kinds of ambulances:

1. Ambulances with Life suport systems which are licenced to use siren and are allowed to jump red lights etc for transporting patients.
2. Ambulances that are NOT equipped with Life support ssytems and are thus NOT entitled to use siren or jump lights.

Unfortunately, MOST ambulances are of the latter kind. The one in your photograph also looks like an omni ambulance which is NOT a life suport ambulance but a patient transport ambulance. Such vehicles are NOT authorised to use sirens and Delhi Police should challan them. For the general public, please remember that an OMNI VAN AMBULANCE is NOT authorised to use siren. Rather than give them side, inform Delhi Police and ask them to challan such vehicles.

Yes you are right these are not ALS but pvt nursing home ones hired and may be even not have registration.
We find a by and large a substantial % of commuters give way for Ambulance , PCR & Fire etc...
But some as usual.. but in this case it was the Traffic Cops stand controlling the traffic was holding the ambulance among other traffic.

Anyway, I had met with EE DDA FO last Saturday they offered within their discretion right to put fresh surface to 400 mtr of the UP Mouth to T Point. They expect to complete this by Oct-Nov.. Rest full carpeting along with other suggestion DF-GB suggested they will implement once the approval from AE&A committee.

Rest hope for the best..

Dear all 
There are basically three types of ambulances (1) ALS (2)BLS & (3) PTA. Majority of ambulances are PTA - Patient Transportation Ambulances. there are few BLS. 

But the main thing untill and unless ROW is provided exclusively to such vehicles there is no use only loss of the golden hour. Many of us must have experienced vehicles not giving way to ambulances although they are blowing siren. It is the mindset of the road users which needs to be changed and also imposing heavy penalty to those not giving way.

Again one more ambulance struck in jam @ 8,35 am at sect 21 t junction
Then had to use wrong side carriage

DTP & SDMC responsible for this

It has also been observed that ppl don't give way to emergency vehicle. They forget it may happen 2 dem somedsy.
