Swatch Abhiyan missing

Dear all,
This picture is behind Nasirpur Sabzi Mandi. Today Tehsildar, Dwarka visited the site after lodging complaint that the mandi (which is illegal) is encroaching more Govt land. There is water logging, rotten veggies all dumped there. There is a Primary Govt School in the vicinity, hardly 50 mts away. As Delhi is facing H1N1 epidemic, the unhygenic condition was also brought to his notice.
As per RTI information (2013) there are only 63 licenced vendors. But in actual their number is more than 200. Many.are rented out. Greed for compensation.
He has assured that suitable action will be taken.

Arun, the whole cleanliness mission missed one crucial point, i.e., there are listed few items which comes directly under Municipal Corporations/ Nagar palikas/ Panchayats and one of them is garbage disposal.  Unfortunately, over a period, Municipal corporations lost sight and treat this primary job as "'FAVOUR"' to public... To achieve any result, first and foremost mindset is : MCD should treat this as a DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY & these bodies are formed only for this PURPOSE. Garbage disposal should be a round the clock activity for any municipality - that too in a city with massive population. Our case is, they make one round in the morning and conclude everything is in order.... PM keeps talking but Municipality is adamant that WE WILL DO IT OUR WAY !!
