Dear All,

As you all may very well aware of the Pollution Level in Delhi. With winter onset we bound to see high pollution. Take example of Dwarka NSTI data on Pollution which stand high.

In line with other cities celebrated Car Free Day already and now Delhi Govt schedule this for 22nd October 2015(Its HOLIDAY on A/c of Dusshera) .

As responsible citizen what is your INPUT on this to improve it in Delhi.. Please add your views (Pls mark copy to Transport Minister )

First of all I CONFIRM that I won't be using Car on that day.

My suggestion are as follows:

1. All the DTC Bus Stops should have Time Table of respective Route Buses that passes through BQS.
2. All Govt Officers to use only Public Transport on that day(No Official vehicles).
3. Sufficient number of Feeder Services using Mini Buses, Gramin Sewa, E-Rikshaw to be used to Link all Metro Stations and Main Roads where DTC long Routes.
4. Car Pool Apps to be developed for Delhi- Give incentives points CARBON Points to Car Pool users.
5. Govt officers preach many things but implement very rarely. Being Dusshere day including PM and others must reduce the number of Convey that goes to Red Fort area. The Ministries and department located in Central Delhi should provide Metro Feeder and ask staffs to use Public Transport.
6. Formal direction must be issued by Cabinet Secretary and Chief Secretary to all staff use of Public Transport
6 Parking at Mass Transport Hubs to be free on that day.

Campaign:
All Schools must be roped in to give awareness of this Car Free.
All FM Channels to air views and suggestion from Public

Please PLEDGE and add your suggestions if any.

Dear Sir,

I agree with Shri Rejimon.

Refer point 5 & 6 of Shri Reji. Initiative first be from the government side. Major Government colonies are presently located in Central Delhi. To start with once in a month or fortnight all officials will travel by feeder bus or DTC bus covering all the areas of central Delhi to pick up and drop at the various Bhawans/Ministries etc. First pick up will be bit early but for environment and health of Delhi that can be accepted.  As incentive late arrival will not be taken into account.

I will also not  drive any vehicle on 22.10.2015.

Lets do something for Delhi's Good and Clean Environment.

Govt should try to operate Delhi maximum DTC buses. When ever you bypass any bus depot, you can easily find 20- 40 buses in the depot, sometimes even more. If these buses also come on road this will help public .
