Dwarka,
Communication Towers are required for Fourth Generation (4G)
& better Band Width.
Radiation effects are not so far scientifically certified
& still debated. No standards/ Specification/ Guidelines from Communication Regulator
or Environment Ministry.
But care shall be taken & Policy for Erection of Towers
shall be firmed up
My suggestions
Radiation Strength shall be as per International Standards.
Towers shall be at minimum 60 Meters from residential
building (Preferably away from School/ Hospital, around 200 M)
60 M distance will reduce night glare if used as Light Mast
& EMR effect if any.
Shall not face residential building. Area can be locked from
public/ children.
Towers shall be away from existing high/Semi Mast Lights (Or
they may be dismantled to save energy)
Towers shall be Multipurpose & Multi Users
1. Tower
owner shall provide free four directions lights for illumination on road for
civic body
2. Law
enforcement agencies can use towers for digital camera for monitoring &
recording of Traffic/ Law and Order from four directions free of charge
3. Can
be used as Watch Towers
Same Tower shall be used by All Service Providers in that
area (Reliance/ Airtel/ Voda Phone/ Tata/ MTNL/ BSNL etc)
Preferably powered by Solar Panels.
During installation minimum damage to Trees.
Govt agency shall not consider allowing erection as revenue
earning.
Safety Main Consideration. (Strom/ Earthquake/ Radiation)
All existing towers on roof top of residential buildings shall
be removed.
