Good example set by Union Minister Prakash Javedkar by taking metro from airport
At a time when political community is always being criticised for their lust for privileges for their being in legislative system, it is welcome to note that Union Cabinet Minister Prakash Javedkar preferred travelling through Airport Metro Express from Indira Gandhi Airport (New Delhi) to keep appointment with visitors by avoiding heavy rush of city-traffic.
It should be made a precedent for all including ministers (from centre or from states), Parliamentarians and others using official cars, to travel compulsorily by comfortable Airport Metro Express for reaching and/or coming from New Delhi Airport at least till the economical Airport Metro Express does not begin being overcrowded. It will also save valuable time presently lost in traffic-jams while travelling in official cars.
All these persons should carry light luggage so that they may not need any assistant to carry luggage, and should behave like normal passengers at airports also by standing in queues for check-in purposes.
President, Vice president, Prime Minister, Chief Justice of India, Chiefs of Army, Navy and Air-Force, state-Governors and Chief Ministers should only be allowed to use official cars for going to or coming back from airports.
