Dear colleagues

The University of Copenhagen (my former employers) is offering online courses (below) in Climate Change and since we started these courses at UC in 2008 they have been a great success. If you know of any students who might be interested in taking these courses online (and these are not MOOCS – much better than that) then they should register by June 1 2017.

Please distribute on your respective list-servers and notice boards.

Best wishes.

John

The courses

Do you want to further your education on Environmental Management at one of the leading universities in Europe? Do you want to receive teaching from international experts on Climate Change? Would you like the flexibility of online courses, which builds on proven pedagogical methods that ensure a high learning outcome?

Then the 15 ECTS online MSc courses Environmental Management in Europe (EME -
www.environmental-management.dk) and Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation (CCIAM - www.climate-change.dk) may be the right courses for you! Both online courses are based on 15 E-learning modules featuring online discussions with weekly deadlines as well as submission of individual assignments and team assignments. The EME course starts with an introduction day in Copenhagen on the 23rd of August 2017, and the CCIAM course starts with an introduction day in Copenhagen on the 5th of September 2017. Both courses end on the 31st of January 2018. Besides the introduction days the courses are 100% online and it is even possible to attend the introduction days via webcam.

You may take each of the courses individually or combine them together with our 15 ECTS on-campus course Climate Solutions (CS -
www.climate-solutions.dk) and a written 15 ECTS Master’s project to obtain a Flexible Master’s degree in Climate Change and Environmental Management at the University of Copenhagen (www.flexible-master.dk).

More information about the individual courses, the Flexible Master’s degree and how to apply can be found at
www.environmental-management.dk, www.climate-change.dk, www.climate-solutions.dk, www.flexible-master.dk and by contacting c...@plen.ku.dk.
