Hello everyone, in 2006 I created an application with VBA (access from microsoft). I do life access but I can't dig windows. So I switched to linux and I love it. I want to move with it in the same direction and learn to develop database infrastructure. is-there an open source program similar to access I can use under Linux ?

Yes, you can use GNOME DB please visit http://www.gnome-db.org/ (see screenshots) to see more and you can use SQLite 3 http://www.sqlite.org/ and you have an Access similar environment.

<garl...@gmail.com> declaimed the following in
gmane.comp.python.django.user:
        This is probably not the group in which to ask (Django is a web
framework) but... The Dabo effort may be closest (they were trying to
model Visual FoxPro development).

        At lower levels... Access is really just a GUI front-end form and
report writer; the (normal) database is really JET (Access Data Projects
use SQL Server for the database).

{caveat: I've not done anything with Dabo}
