Joint DIYbio booth at upcoming GET conference?

Hi all,

I was just wondering how many DIYbio people will be going to the upcoming Genomes, Environments and Traits (GET) Conference in Boston April 25-26, 2013, and whether it would make sense to have a joint DIYbio presence there.

I for one am not interested in lugging a BioCurious booth over to Boston, but I wouldn't mind bringing a poster and some flyers, and hanging out with other DIYbio peeps while I'm in town. Sounds like there's still time to propose short talks or discussion topics, so perhaps we could do a DIYbio panel discussion as well?

So...

1) Pipe up if you're going to GET, and let's at least have a beer together or something!

2) Anyone interested in helping to man a joint DIYbio booth?

3) Anyone want to be part of a DIYbio panel?

By the way - I did wind up putting in a proposal for a DIYbio panel at the GET conference. Between Matt, Ellen from Genspace, Jason Bobe (if he's not too busy already), maybe someone from BOSSlab and a few more stragglers, we should have enough people to put together an interesting table...

Hi all!

Just to confirm that we will indeed be doing a DIYbio panel discussion at the GET conference in Boston this Thursday, 1:30-2:30.

If you happen to be in town, you are all invited to participate. I'm checking with the organizer if it would be possible to stream the conversation live - or at least record it.

Looking forward to meeting some of you "in the flesh". I will be flying in on Wednesday around noon, and flying back out on Saturday afternoon, so we'll have plenty of time to hang out.

If you're going to GET, send me an email, and I'll send you my cell phone number, so we can meet up.

afternoon it'd be cool to meet some people in Boston. I can't make
the conference this year because of the 9-5 but, I'd be interested in
the DIYbio panel discussion.

Reminder: DIYbio panel discussion at 1:30-2:30 in the Freedom Room! Madeline was able to rustle up someone with a camera. Don't know if we'll be able to live stream, but at least we should be able to record.
