Once you have a bash terminal, you can install anaconda python by issuing the commands:

The installation should ask you to accept a license agreement, prompt you for an installation directory (default is acceptable), then ask if you'd like the installer to pre-pend your path. If this is your only python distribution, it's probably acceptable or recommended to say "yes" hereSome of the functionality will require you to install an X Server. Xming is a decent choice:Once this is installed, you'll need to edit your shell configuration file to include the following, on it's own line:
export DISPLAY=:0
