The URL http://download.java.net/media/jai-imageio/builds/release/1.1/
seems to be no more valid.

Do you know if there is an alternative place from wich we can download it?

Thanks
A

Opppps,

I can't find an alternative repository for that...

I have a backup somewhere with the binaries, but you may trust me... or not.

Let me know if you want my backup.

I would recommend to use the very last compiled version 1.2.0-b04  that fixes several issues. Here is the Linux binaries for 32 and 64-bit (download it and rename to libclib_jiio.so).

You can also replace the jars in dcm4chee/server/default/lib: jai_imageio.jar and clibwrapper_jiio.jar (but I think it is already the last version).

Oh, that's cool.

Do you know which problems does it fix? Is it the memory leaks?

Thanks

Here is the list which contains jpeg lossless crash and memory leak with jpeg2000 decoder.

However it remains some bugs.

We use the version 1.2.0-b04 in our dcm4chee and in 5 months we haven't had any problem. With other version of java, dcm4che crash with the jpeg lossless config.

And also we downloaded in the same web that Nicolas told.

I take this opportunity to thank Nicolas Roduit for the answer of this post that i found in archive.org ( https://web.archive.org/web/20121021225000/http://forums.dcm4che.org/jiveforums/thread.jspa?threadID=5494&tstart=0 ) because we solved a big problem with java and the jpeg lossless crash with our Pacs.

Regards.

In 1.2.0-b04, the native jpeg2000 codec can still crash the JVM. It seems to be a concurrency issue because I solve it in Weasis by forcing the reader in only one thread. This bug appears in Windows and Solaris, I've never seen it on Linux.

Excuse me.
So what is the "official" location, or at least a trustable one, from
wich we can download jai-imageio for each platform (Linux, Solaris etc.)?

Thanks
A
